Rider Dies after Crashing into SUV Highway 39 in Azusa
AZUSA, CA (August 14, 2019) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 39 near Crystal Lake.
The crash happened around 11:34 a.m. north of mile marker 35.68.
A 48-year-old Michael Nuke of Norwalk was riding a 2018 Suzuki motorcycle south on Highway 39 when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the CHP.
As a result, Nuke died at the scene.
Paramedics treated the SUV driver with injuries to his left forearm.
No additional information was provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
