Injuries Reported in Lompoc Hit-and-Run Accident on East Pine Avenue

 
LOMPOC, CA (October 21, 2021) – Tuesday night, authorities arrested Michael Maurice Moore after a pedestrian crash on East Pine Avenue.
 
The authorities responded to the scene just before 7:00 p.m. in the 100 block of East Pine Avenue. Sgt. Scott Morgan confirmed that a vehicle struck a pedestrian. Meanwhile, the driver fled by heading north on North H Street.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located a 65-year-old pedestrian down. Then, responders took the pedestrian by helicopter to an area hospital in serious condition.
 
After several hours, the officers found the vehicle at a local motel. After using surveillance videos, they found 51-year-old Michael Maurice Moore near his room. Then, they arrested Moore for allegedly fleeing the scene of an injury traffic collision, which is a felony.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
