1 Dead in Concord Motorcycle Crash on Clayton Road

CONCORD, CA (April 28, 2020) – Early Friday morning, Michael Hopfner died in a car and motorcycle crash on Clayton Road in Concord.

The authorities revealed that Michael Hopfner of Concord was riding west toward downtown. However, a car pulled out in front of the 20-year-old motorcycle rider from Heather Drive at about 7:15 a.m.

The authorities dispatched an ambulance to transport Hopfner to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Unfortunately, the young motorcyclist died.

Meanwhile, the authorities reported that Michael Hopfner wore a helmet during the collision. However, the impact of the crash ejected him several feet from his bike.

Furthermore, reposts also stated that the other driver, who was identified as a 46-year-old Pittsburg resident, remained at the crash scene and has been cooperative with the officers.

The police officers also do not believe that alcohol played a role in the fatal motorcycle crash on Clayton Road.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the grieving family during this difficult period. May they find the comfort and peace that they seek and may the soul of Michael Hopfner rest in peace.
