Sonoma Crash Injures Transit Bus Driver Michael Hein, Kills Another

Sonoma, CA (October 08, 2021) – On Thursday, 26-year-old Michael Hein of Sebastopol, a bus driver, suffered injuries in a fatal crash on 13250 River Road.

The fatal accident took place before noon in front of Korbel Winery.

Officers said the driver of an eastbound Toyota Tacoma entered the opposite lanes and crashed with the bus.

The bus pushed the pickup a short distance before both of the vehicles stopped.

Reports said that around six people, including Hein, occupied the bus when the crash happened.

Right away, rescuers took Hein to a hospital for minor injuries. It is unknown if there were any passengers taken to the hospital.

Unfortunately, the pickup driver died in the crash. His identity remains unknown at this time.
