Michael Harney of Sparks Killed in US 395 Motorcycle Collision [Reno, NV]

Reno, NV (Aug. 3, 2023) – On July 13, a 50-year-old male motorcyclist from Sparks, Michael Harney, was killed and his passenger was injured in a US 395 motorcycle collision.

The Nevada State Police officers responded at around 11:30 p.m. to the crash scene on northbound freeway at the Panther Valley off-ramp.

Investigating officers stated that a black 2010 Harley Davidson occupied by Harney and a passenger was north on the off ramp when it drove across the center raised median and struck a traffic sign.

Harney was thrown from the motorcycle and was rushed to an area hospital. His passenger was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, Michael Harney, lost his life in this collision.

Officers are still investigating.
