Alisa Lane Fatal Collision Injures US Postal Service Truck Driver
Santa Barbara, CA (May 4, 2023) – On May 2, Michael Figone, a 45-year-old Santa Barbara man, died in a 2-vehicle collision on Marina Drive.
The fatal incident unfolded at about 4:51 p.m. which also involves a U.S. Postal Service truck driven by George Turner, 33, also from Santa Barbara.
CHP said Figona was riding an eastbound motorcycle that collided with a westbound U.S. Postal Service truck making a left turn onto Alisa Lane in Hope Ranch.
Figona was thrown from the motorcycle onto the roadway while Turner was uninjured. Unfortunately, Figone died at the scene.
The authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol as factors in the fatal incident. Officers are still investigating.
