San Francisco Man Michael Fertig Dead in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2021) – Saturday, authorities closed a road after a fatal crash on Highway 1 at Waddell Creek.

According to reports, the incident took place just before 5:25 p.m.

Moreover, the crash led to the closure of Highway 1 in both directions at Waddell Creek.

Initially, what led up to the accident is unclear.

Meanwhile, the authorities continued to investigate the fatal incident.

By 10:30 p.m., Highway 1 has reopened.

Later reports stated that 59-year-old Michael Fertig died in the accident, when Lisa Skrzynecki rear-ended the motorcyclist.

Apparently, the Los Gatos woman failed to see Mr. Fertig riding in front of her. She struck with her white Subaru while he rode a Harley Davidson.

CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol factored into this deadly motorcycle crash.

Sweet Lawyers express its sincere sympathies to the bereaved family of Michael Fertig.
