Michael Clugston, Sal Fernandez, and Joseph Mendoza Killed in Garden Grove Crash

 
Garden Grove, CA (March 13, 2021) – Earlier today, Michael Clugston and two others died in a crash on Euclid Street and Orangewood Avenue.
 
The Garden Grove crash happened at around 2:15 a.m. near Harbor Boulevard.
 
Apparently, officers saw a Dodge Ram pickup driver traveling at a high rate of speed through a parking lot at Chapman Avenue.
 
The truck exited the parking lot and continued to drive at a high rate of speed.
 
That is when the officer activated his red lights and siren. The police attempted to catch the truck traveling westbound on Chapman Avenue.
 
However, the truck driver continued at a high rate of speed.
 
As a result, it crashed with another passenger vehicle.
 
Afterward, the truck struck a block wall and rested upside down in a residential swimming pool.
 
Meanwhile, a second vehicle rolled over and came to rest against the wall.
 
The pickup driver died at the scene. On the other hand, rescuers took the driver of the passenger vehicle to a local hospital, where he later died.
 
Later, authorities released the identities of the other two deceased in this accident as Sal Fernandez, 34, and Joseph Mendoza, 28.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
