Runnels County Fatal Collision Injures Chevrolet Driver
Runnels County, TX (Aug. 1, 2023) – On July 29, a Hyundai driver, 42-year-old Sweetwater man, Michael Castillo, was killed in a 2-vehicle crash on FM 382.
It was about 9:30 p.m. when the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection with Highway 153.
Preliminary investigation shows that a Chevrolet Tahoe was southbound on FM 382 approaching the intersection. The driver disregarded the stop sign and struck a Hyundai that was westbound on Highway 153.
Unfortunately, the Hyundai driver, Michael Castillo, was declared dead at the scene.
On the other hand, the paramedics rushed the Tahoe driver to Shannon Medical Center for incapacitating injuries.
Officers said both of the drivers were wearing seatbelts when the collision happened.
