6-Year-Old Boy Killed in Bicycle Crash Near Sahara Avenue
Las Vegas, NV (August 14, 2022) – On Saturday evening, the authorities arrested Michael Burdick, 21, in a hit-and-run crash on Karen Avenue killing a 6-year-old boy.
The fatal collision took place at about 5:20 p.m. in the 1700 block area, near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
According to the investigators, Burdick was driving a Ford U-Haul box truck when he struck the boy.
Immediately, the responders took the boy to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died.
Michael Burdick did not stop after the collision but was later arrested. The authorities booked him into the Clark County Detention Center with charges of failure to stop at the scene of a crash and a probation violation.
