Matthew Martinez and Alicia Del Cid Killed in Pomona Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway and Towne Avenue

 
POMONA, CA (October 11, 2020) – On Sunday morning, Matthew Martinez and Alicia Del Cid were killed in a pedestrian accident.
 
Moreover, the accident occurred on the San Bernardino Freeway near Towne Avenue.
 
According to Officer Patrick Kimball of California Highway Patrol, the two victims appeared to be standing on the roadway when they were struck by a car at around 3:40 a.m.
 
At approximately 3:55 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene but did not transport anyone to a hospital, said a dispatcher.
 
Officers confirmed that the Pomona Police Department run a traffic break at 4:00 a.m. to assist.
 
At around 4:03 a.m., a SigAlert was issued by CHP for all westbound lanes on the freeway.
 
Authorities are still investigating the incident as of this moment.
