47-Year-Old Jimmy Lee Hewitt Arrested in Fatal Crash Near Mulberry Road
Upshur County, TX (December 16, 2023) – 44-year-old Maryam Marsh of Upshur County was killed in a Highway 155 accident Wednesday morning.
It was about 6:37 a.m. when Marsh was crossing Highway 155 near Mulberry Road to walk her child to a stopped school bus.
At the same time, 47-year-old Jimmy Lee Hewitt disregarded the bus’s flashing stop signs and hit Marsh.
The authorities arrested Hewitt on-site and booked into the Upshur County Jail on a charge of manslaughter.
