Boat Crash on Pit Arm of Shasta Lake Leaves Martin Stapley Injured

 
Shasta Lake, CA (March 29, 2021) – On Wednesday, Martin Stapley and John Stevenson were injured in a two-boat crash on Pit Arm of Shasta Lake.
 
The Shasta Lake accident took place before 1 p.m. near the Arbuckle Flat Campground.
 
Officers said the first boat, driven by John Stevenson, was sailing west and the other boat, driven by Martin Stapley, was traveling in the opposite direction.
 
As they were coming to a blind corner, both drivers tried to sail out of each other’s way. However, they both went in the same direction and collided with each other.
 
As a result, Stapley incurred major injuries and was rushed to the hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
 
On the other hand, Stevenson, along with a passenger who was on Stapley’s boat, sustained minor injuries.
