Marta Johnson Arrested in DUI Crash on Little Elm Road [Cedar Park, TX]

Bicyclist Injured in Collision on Reed Elementary School

Cedar Park, TX (May 3, 2025)Marta Johnson, who works as an assistant principal at Reed Elementary School in Leander ISD, was arrested following a DUI crash on Little Elm Road Thursday.

It was around 7:15 a.m. on April 28 when the collision happened at Reed Elementary School.

Responding officers located a male bicyclist lying on the ground, with his hands bleeding and with apparent road rash on both arms.

The paramedics immediately provided medical aid to the bicyclist.

Meanwhile, the involved driver, Marta Johnson, remained in her vehicle. Officers said she was acting strangely and wouldn’t speak in detail when asked what happened.

Police said Johnson admitted to being on her phone during the collision.

The authorities then cleared the scene.

However, school staff reported to police that Johnson was acting erratically.

Police went back to Johnson and located her sitting in the back of her vehicle with her eyes being bloodshot red and glassy.

Troopers said she was unable to maintain her balance when asked to step out of her vehicle.

Johnson told the investigators she was coming from her residence in Leander and had taken two hard seltzers the night prior. She underwent a field sobriety test which determined that she was driving while intoxicated.

In a breathalyzer test, Johnson blew a .282, which is more than three times the legal Blood Alcohol Level limit.

The authorities then arrested Johnson and is now facing a misdemeanor DWI charge.
