Marley Gregory Dead in Portola Valley Auto Crash on 280 Freeway
PORTOLA VALLEY, CA (June 30, 2020) – Monday afternoon, 23-year-old Marley Gregory died in a single-car accident on 280 Freeway near Portola Valley.
The incident occurred around 2:34 p.m. on southbound 280 Freeway, north of Alpine Road, not far from the Stanford Dish.
According to the CHP’s tweet, a woman driving a southbound white Toyota Tundra steered onto the right shoulder. Then, the vehicle fell into an embankment and struck a tree. Afterward, the car went back on the freeway.
The sole occupant of the Toyota, now identified as Marley Gregory from San Jose, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the authorities partially shut down the freeway for two hours. However, the lanes reopened around 5:30 p.m.
