Jessica Lester, Nathan McGuire, and Marlene Trueax Injured in Vancouver Car Crash
VANCOUVER, WA (August 27, 2019) – Three people sustained injuries in a DUI car crash on 205 Freeway on August 25.
The incident occurred when an intoxicated driver collided into a disabled pickup’s back.
At around 6:45 p.m., a northbound green 2000 Plymouth van 205 Freeway at Milepost 35 on the right shoulder. However, it hit a disabled, gray 1984 Chevrolet C-10 pickup from behind. The collision led the van to overturn and land on its top. The van stopped in the right lane.
The 61-year-old van driver, Marlene F. Trueax of Milwaukie, Ore., suffered injuries and went to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.
In addition, the 33-year-old pickup driver, Nathan N. McGuire of Ridgefield, sustained injuries but did not go to a hospital. His 34-year-old passenger, Jessica R. Lester of Ridgefield, also suffered injuries and did not require hospitalization.
The collision totaled the two vehicles. As a result, a towing service towed the vehicles from the scene.
However, troopers added that Trueax faces pending DUI charges.
