Marlen Contreras Alverdi Dies in Head-On Crash on Highway 680 [San Jose, CA]

San Jose, CA (October 24, 2021) – On Sunday, Marlen Contreras Alverdi, 50, suffered fatal injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 680.

San Jose Officers received the deadly crash report minutes after 5 a.m. near Berryessa Road.

Investigating officers said the San Jose woman drove a northbound Nissan sedan on southbound lanes of the freeway.

As a result, the  Nissan crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

Moreover, the second car swerved into a third vehicle and left a person inside that car with minor injuries.

Unfortunately, the 50-year-old Marlen lost her life at the scene.

Furthermore, the rescuers took the person in the second vehicle to a hospital with major injuries.
