46-Year-Old Sunnyvale Man Identified as Pedestrian Accident Victim near West Iowa Avenue

 
SUNNYVALE, CA (August 4, 2018) – A man lost his life late Saturday evening after he was struck by a vehicle near West Iowa Avenue.
 
According to Sunnyvale police, 46-year-old Sunnyvale resident Mark Klein was hit by a car shortly before 11:00 PM, near the intersection of South Pastoria Avenue and West Iowa Avenue. Events that led to the collision were not immediately available.
 
Paramedics arrived and rendered life-saving efforts to the injured pedestrian. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and to identify possible contributing factors. Witnesses and anyone with additional information regarding this collision is encouraged to contact Officer Juan Gallazzo by calling (408) 730-7110.
