2 Brothers Killed in Hit-and-Run on Triunfo Canyon Road in Westlake Village

 
Westlake Village, CA (September 30, 2020) – On Tuesday night, Mark and Jacob Iskander died after a pedestrian accident on Triunfo Canyon Road in Westlake Village.
 
Deputies responded to the fatal accident at about 7:10 p.m. and located the two young brothers, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
 
The authorities pronounced 11-year-old Mark Iskander dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics took the 8-year-old Jacob Iskander to a hospital; however, he did not survive his injuries.
 
Later reports confirmed that a car driven by a drunk driver hit the two boys.
 
Meanwhile, the officers closed Triunfo Canyon Road between Lindero Canyon Road and Twin Lakes Ridge for the investigation.
 
Furthermore, there is a captured video from the scene that showed a scooter in the street and a helmet and roller blades on a sidewalk near the crash location.
 
Moreover, later reports detail that the boys walked with their family in the crosswalk when the driver struck them.
 
The boys’ mother was only able to move two of her children out of the way at the time of the fatal crash.
 
The driver did not remain at the scene, but police later discovered her white Mercedes around half a mile from the incident.
 
The sheriff’s department said they arrested 57-year-old Rebecca Grossman for vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
 
Additionally, she is being held on a 2 million dollar bail.
