WOODSIDE, CA (June 25, 2020) – On Tuesday afternoon, Mark Alarcon died in an auto accident on 280 Freeway in Woodside.
 
The incident occurred at around 3:40 p.m. on the right-hand shoulder of southbound 280 Freeway. According to CHP Officer Art Montiel, the crash scene was between Edgewood Road and Farm Hill Boulevard.
 
The CHP revealed that Bay Area Freeway Service Patrol driver Mark Alarcon died while helping a stranded motorist.
 
Montiel revealed that a red lumber truck hit the patrol driver’s vehicle. The patrol vehicle then struck the driver.

Due to the impact, 61-year-old Mark Alarcon of Dublin suffered fatal injuries.
