Injuries Reported in Turlock Multi-Vehicle Accident on Monte Vista Avenue and Geer Road
TURLOCK, CA (April 6, 2022) – Friday night, Mario Gomez and others suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Monte Vista Avenue.
The incident happened at 10:23 p.m. on W Monte Vista Avenue and Geer Road.
Moreover, the Turlock Police Department, Stanislaus State Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response all came to the scene.
Upon their arrival, they located three involved vehicles. Moreover, the crash involved a blue Chrysler sedan, a gray Mercedes-Benz coupe, and an unknown color Chevrolet pickup truck. Authorities found the blue Chrysler sedan on its roof three hundred fifty feet away from the gray Mercedes-Benz coupe.
After the crash, 19-year-old blue Chrysler driver Mario Gomez of Turlock and his passenger sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz also sustained minor injuries. All three of them refused further medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet pickup truck driver suffered no injuries in the crash.
Also, Gomez showed signs of being under the influence. Thus, officers asked him to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. Eventually, they found out that Gomez drove while under the influence of alcohol.
At this time, the events that have led up to the crash remain unclear.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested Gomez and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. He’s currently facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
