70-year-old El Cajon Woman Dies Weeks After Deadly 2-Vehicle Collision on Olde Highway 80
San Diego, CA (May 22, 2023) On May 3rd, 70-year-old Marilynn Asch died weeks after the traffic crash on Olde Highway 80.
According to the San Diego Department of the Medical Examiner, the deadly collision happened at about 1 p.m. in May 3rd as Asch was travelling westbound on Olde Highway 80.
Reports say that Asch was on a northbound Infiniti sedan on Soldin Lane when she collided with another vehicle, the vehicle was westbound on Olde Highway 80.
Authorities arrived at the scene and found Asch suffering injuries and was not responsive.
Medics transported the El Cajon woman to a hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on May 16 around 1 a.m. Officials say that the official cause of death is described as blunt force injury by the Medical Examiner.
CHP is investigating the probable cause of the traffic crash on Olde Highway 80.
