County Road P Collision Injures Patrick Dempsey of Chico
Tehama County, CA (December 12, 2022) – On Friday, Maria Wilfong, 59 of Orland, died, while Patrick Dempsey, 60, of Chico, sustained injuries in a Malton Switch Road collision.
The fatal traffic crash took place at about 4:10 p.m. at County Road P.
CHP said Patrick Dempsey was westbound in a Ford Transit on Malton Switch Road at an unknown speed.
At the same time, Maria Wilfong was northbound in a Chevrolet Camaro on County Road P at unknown speeds. Officers said she failed to yield the right of way and collided with Dempsey’s Transit.
The authorities declared Maria Wilfong dead at the scene while the authorities airlifted Patrick Dempsey with major injuries.
Meanwhile, officers said they do not consider driving under the influence as a factor in the accident. Officers are still investigating the Malton Switch Road collision.
