Maria Maquin of Cedar Park Killed in Vehicle Crash on I-35 [Troy, TX]

Troy TX (April 22, 2025) – 34-year-old Maria Maquin and 35-year-old Hector Bococ, both of Cedar Park, were killed in a vehicle crash on I-35 Saturday morning.

It was at 8:15 a.m. on April 19 when the fatal collision happened on the northbound freeway at the 311 exit ramp.

According to the investigators, a northbound Dodge Ram Pickup was stopped on the improved shoulder to change a flat tire.

Both of the adult occupants of the vehicle were at the back, removing the spare tire, while a juvenile was standing in the grass median.

Police said a Kia Optima left the main traffic lane and drove onto the improved shoulder crashing onto the Dodge Ram Pickup.

Bell County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Fisher declared Hector Bococ and Maria Maquin, deceased at the scene.

The rescuers took the juvenile to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
