Wife Dies Husband Injured in Pasco Traffic Collision
Pasco, WA (November 26, 2022) – On Tuesday, Maria Larios, 73, of Pasco, died, and her 67-year-old husband sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 20th Avenue.
It was about 7 p.m. when the fatal incident took place in the area of Nixon Street.
Officers say the couple had just finished a shopping trip to the SuperMex grocery store.
They were wearing high-visibility clothes and carrying flashlights. Then, a dark-colored sedan struck the couple as they were crossing the street. However, the sedan’s driver fled the scene.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed Maria Larios and her husband to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland where Maria died.
The husband remains hospitalized and was able to say goodbye to his wife, but he suffered a heart attack.
Meanwhile, the authorities located the sedan empty just south of 20th Avenue and Lewis Street Wednesday morning. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Pasco on Monday.
