Three People Injured in Three-Car Collision on Highway 305 near George Lane
SUQUAMISH, WA (February 28, 2018) – On Wednesday night after 7 PM, three people were injured in a three-car collision on Highway 305 near George Lane.
A 2007 Subaru Legacy driven by 78-year-old Maria L Stevens of Bremerton, was traveling north on the highway when it crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another car. The 2014 Buick encore, driven by a 56-year-old Bainbridge Island woman, was heading the correct direction on the 305 Freeway South.
Both Stevens and the island woman along with her 78-year-old passenger were injured and transported to the Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for treatment. There is no update on their current condition.
Behind the Buick was a 2007 Honda Fit, driven by a 60-year-old Bainbridge woman, that crashed into the Buick after the Subaru hit it. She was uninjured in the crash. The Subaru and the Buick were totaled in the accident, while the Honda sustained damages and was towed from the scene.
Washington State Patrol said that Stevens would be charged with crossing the centerline.
