49-Year-Old La Puente Woman Hit at Charlie’s Produce on Rivergrade Road
IRWINDALE, CA (March 6, 2018) – A 49-year-old La Puente woman was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident in the Charlie’s Produce parking lot on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office as Maria Elena Rodriguez-Moreno.
According to Irwindale Police Sgt. John Fraijo, she was walking in the parking lot around 1:30 PM, when a truck hit her. The truck driver was making a delivery at the market and didn’t see the woman when backing up.
Rodriguez-Moreno worked at Charlie’s Produce, located on 5301 Rivergrade Road. Paramedics arrived at the site of the crash and pronounced Rodriguez-Moreno dead on scene. No other information has been provided by police officials at this time.
