52-Year-Old Maria De Lopez Lost Her Life in Crash Near State Route 500

 
Mill Plain, WA (February 13, 2021) – On Friday, 52-year-old Maria De Lopez lost her life in a deadly car crash near State Route 500.
 
The fatal crash took place at about 10:23 a.m. at the intersection with Northeast 182 Avenue.
 
Lopez was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima when the car lost traction and swerved into the eastbound lane. Then, a 2019 Dodge Ram driving east hit the passenger side of Lopez’s car.
 
As a result, the two vehicles slid into a ditch on the westbound side of State Route R500 and came to a rest.
 
The two drivers were wearing seatbelts during the incident.
 
Authorities pronounced De Lopez dead at the scene while the driver of the Ram was not injured.
 
Meanwhile, the news release said the fatal crash caused by excessive speed in the winter conditions.
