Fatal Sylmar Big Rig Accident on 5 Freeway Leaves Maria Torres Dead

 
SYLMAR, CA (September 30, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, Maria De La Luz Torres died in a multi-vehicle accident on the (5) Golden State Freeway near Roxford Street.
 
The crash involving a big rig happened September 29 around 8:00 a.m. on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway near Roxford Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Maria De La Luz Torres sustained fatal injuries in the accident. As of this time, the circumstances that have led up to the fatal big rig crash remain unreleased. Ms. Torres was a resident of Palmdale.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities shut down three southbound lanes in the area during the investigation of the fatal semi-truck crash.
