Maria Avila Acosta Dead after Buena Park Car Accident on 5 Freeway and 91 Freeway

 
BUENA PARK, CA (December 1, 2020) – Monday morning, Maria Avila Acosta, 58, died in a multi-vehicle crash on the 5 Freeway and 91 Freeway.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident on the southbound 5 Freeway just north of the 91 Freeway, was reported at around 12:51 a.m.
 
Reports revealed that there was a confirmed death from the crash. Responders found one person, Ms. Avila Acosta, trapped inside a vehicle, and another person lying on the right shoulder lane of the freeway.
 
A witness said that the vehicles involved included a compact sedan, a Bentley, and a Toyota Prius. The news videographer at the scene said that the fatality was from the Prius.
 
A woman from the compact sedan was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, the videographer added.
 
CHP shut down all southbound lanes and issued a SigAlert at around 1:05 a.m. At around 2:27 a.m., the carpool lane was reopened and by 4:00 a.m., all lanes were open to traffic.
