Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash on 605 Freeway at Peck Road

 
WHITTER, CA (October 26, 2019) – A man was killed following a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Whittier, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:00 a.m. on southbound 605 Freeway, just south of Peck Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, at least five or six vehicles were involved. Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed one fatality as a result of the crash. Several others were injured and taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
Authorities later identified the deceased as 34-year-old Marcus Hernandez.
 
CHP officials are handling the investigation.
