Marco Salgado Dies in 32nd Street Hit-and-Run Crash [Phoenix, AZ]

Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Collision on McDowell Road

Phoenix, AZ (March 20, 2023) On Friday, 18-year-old Marco Salgado died in a multi-vehicle collision on McDowell Road.

Phoenix police say that the deadly crash involving 5 vehicles happened near 32nd Street and McDowell Road just after 10 p.m.

Reports say that the collision included a police vehicle and a vehicle that burst into flames. Officials say that Marco Salgado and 5 other people suffered injuries due to the crash.

Paramedics attempted life-saving procedures on Salgado, however, the teenager succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported 5 other patients, including 2 Phoenix police officers, to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the fatal multi-vehicle collision, officials say that the driver suspected to have cause the crash fled the scene on foot. Police are searching for the suspect driver.
