50-Year-Old Marco Antonio Rivera Jr. Dead after Crash on East Ajo Way in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (May 21, 2024) – On Monday, 50-year-old Marco Antonio Rivera Jr. died in a crash on East Ajo Way.

According to a news release from Tucson Police, Marco Antonio Rivera, Jr., was attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot from the eastbound lanes in his Nissan Altima when a westbound Ford F250 pickup struck him. 

Rivera died at the scene, while the truck’s occupants were uninjured. 

Tucson Police determined that the truck’s driver was not impaired at the time of the collision. 

The investigation is ongoing.
