Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 27th Street
Long Beach, CA (November 25, 2022) – At about 12:42 a.m. on Thursday morning, a man in a wheelchair lost his life following a Long Beach Boulevard accident.
According to the authorities, a 2017 Toyota Camry was northbound on Long Beach Boulevard when it hit the man who was crossing a marked crosswalk at 27th Street.
Responding police located the victim in the street suffering from critical injuries. However, when the paramedics arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers say the Toyota driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
“A this time, it is unknown if the driver or the pedestrian had the right way,” police said. “Neither speed nor distracted or impaired driving is believed to be a factor in this collision.”
