Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Roseville Crash on Riverside Avenue

ROSEVILLE, CA (February 4, 2020) – A man suffered life-threatening injuries in Friday’s hit-and-run crash on Riverside Avenue near Cirby Way.

The victim was described as an approximately 60-year-old man. Investigators currently believe the hit-and-run vehicle struck him as he walked westbound just north of Cirby Way.

Paramedics brought the pedestrian to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for further treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, authorities found no sign of the driver, leading them to believe a hit-and-run played a role.

Officials later described the hit-and-run vehicle as an early 2000s Subaru Legacy station wagon. In addition, witnesses should contact local authorities regarding the whereabouts of the driver.

The surrounding area on Riverside Avenue was closed during the investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.

We have a likelier chance of avoiding a collision by paying attention to the road ahead, especially when driving at night or during busy times of the day. It is essential to stay focused on the roadway and avoid distractions at all costs.
