Male Pedestrian Dies after Collision with SUV near Millbrae Avenue
MILLBRAE, CA (August 15, 2018) – A man was killed early Wednesday morning after he was hit by a vehicle on Highway 101.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 4:02 AM. A man was walking along the roadway when he was struck by a silver BMW SUV. The impact of the collision sent the pedestrian into the air before hitting the road.
The driver of the BMW pulled over and immediately called 911. Unfortunately, the pedestrian died before he could be taken to the hospital for treatment. His identity and city of residence were not immediately released, pending notification of his family.
An investigation is ongoing to determine why the man was on the highway. In addition, responding officers did not locate a parked vehicle that might have been involved with the pedestrian. No other information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
