Pedestrian Dead in Paso Robles Train Accident
PASO ROBLES, CA (February 7, 2019) – A man died after being struck by an Amtrak train on February 5 in Paso Robles.
The incident occurred about 5:20 p.m. half a mile from Niblick Bridge and south of Spring Street while an Amtrak train was heading north.
It was reported that the conductor of the Amtrak Coastal Starlight Train noticed the unidentified man walking on the train tracks and blew his horn. However, the man did not move from the tracks despite the conductor’s blowing of horn.
The authorities are working to identify the deceased, and they are also investigating as to whether why the man didn’t move away from the train tracks.
