Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 805 Freeway at Highway 94 [SAN DIEGO, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on 805 Freeway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 2, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Saturday evening in San Diego.
 
The fatal incident happened around 9:45 p.m. on 805 Freeway at Highway 94.
 
According to the CHP, the man exited his vehicle after crashing on the roadway for unknown reasons. He started walking to an off-ramp when another vehicle struck him.
 
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man did not stop to render aid. Several cars had pulled over and others were swerving to avoid the man until paramedics arrived.
 
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Officers soon called for a Medical Examiner’s investigator and blocked off the transition lanes for an investigation.
