Man Severely Injured in Mobility Scooter Crash on Saint Andrews Drive [Seal Beach, CA]

Seal Beach, CA (October 01, 2021) – On Wednesday, a man suffered severe injuries in a mobility scooter crash on Saint Andrews Drive.

Reports indicate that the accident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. at Church Place in the Leisure World Community.

Investigating officers said that the man was riding his mobility scooter when he was struck by a passing car.

“The elderly male sustained severe injuries,” an officer said. Paramedics took him by ambulance to a local trauma center for treatment. His condition is not currently known.

Meanwhile, the car driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Officers added that no other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the accident. The driver did not suffer injury in the crash.
