Bicyclist Hurt in Kelso Auto Crash on Allen Street

 
KELSO, WA (July 15, 2020) – Tuesday night, a man suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on Allen Street in Kelso.
 
According to reports, on July 7th just before 11:00 p.m., the male bicyclist crashed with a BNSF Railway train. As a result of the crash between Allen Street and Cowlitz Way, the bicyclist suffered critical injuries.
 
The crash trapped the victim under one of the vehicles and was awake when the responders came.
 
Meanwhile, reports revealed that the crews uncoupled around 80 feet of the train for over 30 minutes to free him.
 
The responders managed to stabilize the man and took him via ambulance to a local trauma center.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities advised motorists to only cross the tracks at an approved crossing.
 
The authorities confirmed that there’s a crossing in the location. Unfortunately, the victim didn’t utilize it.
