Officers Search for Louisiana Street Fatal Collision

Houston, TX (January 29, 2023) – At about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, a man on a scooter died in Pease Street hit-and-run crash.

The traffic incident took place in the area of Louisiana Street involving also involving a pickup truck.

According to the officers, the pickup truck was in the very left lane on Pease Street when it struck the man who was crossing the street on an electric scooter.

The driver fled the scene right after the accident. According to witnesses, it was the driver who was at fault in this accident.

“According to witnesses, he had the right of way, and that truck driver had a red light. But we have yet to confirm that with video evidence. After the guy on the scooter was struck and thrown into the intersection, the fire department in Louisiana stopped and helped him,” Sgt. David Rose said.
