Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 2 in Gold Bar
GOLD BAR, WA (December 4, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was arrested after a pedestrian crash early Wednesday morning in Gold Bar, Washington.
The crash happened around 1:29 a.m. along Highway 2 at 387th Avenue South East.
According to Washington State Patrol, a Mazda RX8 hit a 68-year-old man who was walking along the highway.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending notification of his family members.
The driver, a 32-year-old woman, was taken into custody for investigation of vehicular homicide.
Investigators are still working to figure out what led up to the crash and why the man was on or near the roadway.
