Man Killed in Two-Car Crash on Petrovitsky Avenue [Renton, WA]

Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Collision near 196th Avenue Southeast

RENTON, WA (November 23, 2018) – Friday, A man was killed in a two-car crash on Petrovitsky Avenue. The victim’s identity and place of residence were not released by the authorities, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place near 196th Avenue Southeast. Based on the report from troopers, the victim’s car crossed the center line, causing him to crash into an oncoming vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Two other people involved in the accident were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but there are no new updates on their current medical conditions.

Detectives with the sheriff’s Major Accident Response and Reconstruction team are investigating what caused the crash. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident. No further information has been released to the public as the investigation continues.
