Fatal DUI Crash near 16th Street and Buckeye Road in Phoenix

 
Phoenix, AZ (November 27, 2020) – Friday morning, a man died in a three-vehicle DUI crash near 16th Street and Buckeye Road.
 
The Phoenix fatal crash was reported at about 8:40 a.m. on November 27.
 
Phoenix Police report a silver truck was heading north on 16th Street at a “high rate of speed” then crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed into a black sedan.
 
A pregnant woman in the black sedan was not injured but was transported as a precaution.
 
Moreover, the truck continued heading north and crossed over into oncoming traffic again, crashing into a silver sedan heading southbound on 16th Street just south of Buckeye Road.
 
This time, the silver sedan driver was fatally injured.
 
The suspect then transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, police smelled alcohol on him and detected signs of impairment.
 
Further investigation is ongoing.
