Man Killed in State Route 4 Single-Vehicle Crash [Antioch, CA]

1 Dead and 4 Injured in Antioch Auto Accident on State Route 4

 
ANTIOCH, CA (May 10, 2022) – Sunday night, a man died in a State Route 4 single-vehicle crash in Antioch.
 
The incident occurred when a vehicle veered off the road and overturned on State Route 4. When the authorities arrived, they found an overturned blue Chrysler PT Cruiser with five people inside.
 
After the crash, the 42-year-old female driver suffered life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man later succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Also, a 19-year-old man suffered minor injuries while two young children suffered major injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. However, they later released her to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
 
Also, CHP revealed that the vehicle headed east on State Route 4 at an undetermined speed. Then, the driver let the car veer to the right and left the roadway completely.
