Man Fatally Struck on State Route 16 in Gig Harbor

 
Gig Harbor, WA (December 10, 2020) – Early Thursday, a man was fatally struck by a van on State Route 16 after he had crashed his car.
 
The Gig Harbor fatal crash happened at 3 a.m. on December 10.
 
Reportedly, the victim drove his car along Burnham Drive at 3 a.m. when he lost control and crashed into a ditch.
 
The man was then in the eastbound lanes of State Route 16 when, unfortunately, a passing van struck him. He died at the scene.
 
Investigators said the van driver didn’t show any signs of impairment; however, they looked into whether the victim had been intoxicated at the time of the incident.
 
An investigation in this State Route 16 fatal crash is on-going.
