1 Dead in Hollister Car Accident on Highway 25

 
HOLLISTER, CA (June 16, 2020) – Sunday night, an 18-year-old man died in a rollover crash on South Highway 25.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the rollover crash on Highway 25, south of Portugese Way at around 10:30 p.m. The police found an 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female Hollister residents inside the car.
 
According to the CHP, the male drove at a high rate of speed while driving south. For reasons still unknown, the car drove off the road and fell down an embankment. Then, the vehicle overturned several times.
 
Afterward, the driver and the passenger were thrown off from the car. The crash left the driver with fatal injuries while the passenger suffered major injuries.
 
At this time, the CHP didn’t know whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
