Laveen Village, AZ (November 25, 2020) – Wednesday evening, a male pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on 39th and Southern Avenues.
 
The fatal hit-and-run crash in Laveen Village happened just after 7 p.m. on November 25.
 
Maricopa County deputies responded and found a man who had been hit by a car, unresponsive. However, the vehicle fled the scene.
 
The unidentified man then was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the man who hit the victim was “taken into custody without incident.”
 
Moreover, investigators say it’s unclear if speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
