Pedestrian Michael Jenkins Killed in Port Hueneme Accident on Ventura Road

 
PORT HUENEME, CA (December 6, 2020) – Friday night, a pedestrian crash on Ventura Road and Channel Islands Boulevard left Michael Jenkins, 30, dead.
 
According to Port Hueneme police, the incident occurred south of Channel Islands Boulevard at around 10:20 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck the man over the center median, while crossing the westbound side of Ventura Road.
 
Responders rushed the victim to Ventura County Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
 
The driver involved remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
