1 Dead in San Jacinto Pedestrian Accident on North State Street and Ramona Expressway

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (January 19, 2021) – Monday morning, a man died in a pedestrian crash on North State Street and Ramona Expressway.
 
The fatal incident happened around 3:15 a.m., the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department revealed. Moreover, it happened on North State Street, north of Ramona Expressway.
 
According to Sgt. Mike Heath, the Toyota sedan’s driver was heading north on State Street. Then, he didn’t immediately notice the victim lying in the middle of the road. Despite the driver’s effort to stop the vehicle, they couldn’t stop in time. As a result, the vehicle ran over the man whose identity remains undisclosed.
 
Afterward, the driver stopped and reported to 911. When the County fire paramedics arrived, they initiated life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the man died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation led authorities to shut down North State Street. This closure was between the expressway and Community College Drive for seven hours.
 
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information to call the sheriff’s San Jacinto station at 951-654-2702.
